How to Play

Everything you need to know about Minigame Marathon — the rules, the speed levels, the controls on touch and keyboard, and a practical tip for every one of the 16 minigames.

The basic rules

A run of Minigame Marathon consists of an endless series of minigames drawn at random from a pool of 16. Each minigame shows a one-line instruction and a short 3-2-1 countdown, then the clock starts. Clear the objective before time runs out to score points and move straight into the next game.

You begin with 3 lives, shown as hearts at the top of the screen. Failing a minigame — running out of time, touching a bomb, dropping the ice cream — costs one life. When the last heart is gone, the run ends and you can submit your score to the leaderboard.

Speed levels

The marathon starts relaxed and ramps up in stages. At 5,000 points the game shifts to the second gear, at 10,000 to the third, and at 20,000 to the final gear. A short warning animation with a flyover plays before each jump, so you are never surprised.

Each speed level shortens the round timers and makes the minigames themselves harder: more birds to click, higher tap targets, more numbers to sort, more wires to connect, longer memory sequences and faster obstacles. Within a level, rounds also tighten slightly as you progress.

Controls

On phones and tablets every minigame is fully playable with touch: tapping, holding, dragging and swiping. On desktop you can use the mouse for everything, and many games also accept the keyboard — the arrow keys steer in Dodge, Open the Doors and Balance the Ice Cream, while the spacebar works in Tap Fast, Inflate the Balloon, Balloon to the Goal, Hit the Target and Home Run.

A sound toggle in the corner of the screen lets you mute or unmute the music and effects at any time. Your choice is remembered between visits.

Multiplayer lobbies

From the home screen, choose Multiplayer to either create a lobby or join one with a 4-digit code. Up to 4 players can take part. Everyone plays the same marathon simultaneously on their own device, with divider lines separating the live scores on screen.

When a player loses their last life they are out, and the remaining players keep going. Once everyone is finished, a winner screen crowns the player with the highest score.

Tips for every minigame

Click the Bird

Keep your cursor or finger near the middle of the screen — the bird can appear anywhere, and at higher levels two appear at once.

Not the Bomb!

You must collect every fruit to clear the round, so plan a path and leave no fruit behind. Bombs drift, so watch their movement before committing.

Tap Fast!

Use two alternating fingers on touch screens. On desktop, the spacebar is usually faster than clicking.

Pick the Color

Ignore the word completely and focus only on the ink. Saying the color out loud helps many players beat the Stroop effect.

Inflate the Balloon

The needle accelerates as you hold. Release a fraction early — the balloon keeps growing for a split second.

Smallest First

Scan for the lowest number before the countdown ends. At higher levels up to 6 numbers appear, so group them visually.

Dodge!

Small, early corrections beat big late ones. Watch the top of the screen, not your character.

Open the Doors

The knob always sits on the side you need to press. Read the knob, not the door.

Memorize & Press

Chunk the sequence into groups of two or three colors and rehearse it silently while it plays.

Balloon to the Goal

There is no timer here — take your time. Short, rhythmic taps keep the balloon steadier than panic mashing.

Hit the Target

The target moves in a predictable sweep. Shoot where it is about to be, not where it is.

Home Run!

Watch the ball grow as it approaches and swing when it fills the zone — swinging early is the most common mistake.

Connect the Wires

Start with the most tangled color first. Later levels add more wire pairs, so clear space mentally before dragging.

Balance the Ice Cream

Move the cone gently under the leaning side. Big movements make the stack wobble harder — small sways win.

Catch Him!

There is no timer. Position the trampoline early and let the bounces settle instead of chasing the jumper.

Ring Rhythm

Feel the beat instead of watching the ring edge. At higher levels the patterns get denser and the rings faster — stay relaxed.
